The kids' mid-year exams started last week and as usual, their mom was the one who worried more. Why? Just because they are boys. My boys are more playful and less serious when come to their learning.
Last year, Adam's result for his mid year exam was not to my expectation and I was disappointed, not with him but with myself coz I didnt spend enough time for his exams preparation. So, when he had his Year 1 final exams, I took 4 half-working days to spend as much time as I could with him. I went through all his books, set questions for him and even print out possible questions from the internet. A primarily joke I got from someone saying "He's just in Year 1. Why are you so worried?".. Huh!! "Well, if my child is a girl, I wouldnt have worried so much".. And the results - priceless. He made me proud the day I received a letter from the school indicating he was selected as one of the Year 1 students to receive an award for his achievement in all subjects. The effort was equalled with what he has gone through. The biggest pride of my life was watching him walked on the stage, receiving his award and certification with a sweet smile of his.

So, this year I'm in more fret as two of them are in school. Be it a quarterly-, mid- or final- exams, I'll be busy flipping through their books, digging questions from educational papers and gathering all possible questions I could get from the internet. How pathetic is that!.. Well.. that's just me!
Their mid year exams 2006
18 May : Bahasa Malaysia (Penulisan & Pemahaman)
19 May : Mathematics & Pendidikan Islam
22 May : English Language & Pendidikan Seni
23 May : Science & Pendidikan Jawi
For their pendidikan seni, Adam chose to make an animal mask, which is a Panda bear while Adli chose to make a colored folding-paper house. So, we practised making those arts.
Last weekend, we went out with a mission to buy a pet for the kids as they have been bugging me for it. So, we went to few pet stores:
1. Subang Parade bazaar where there's a rabbit vendor
2. Subang Parade pet store near the Parkson Grand entrance
3. Carrefour Subang bazaar
4, Pet wonderland at Mid Valley
Did we get one? Nope coz they couldnt reach to a decision. Adam wants a hamster but Adli wants a rabbit. Since it's gonna be an addition to the family, I would rather have either one. So, which one is better?
Hamster
or Rabbit
