I've not been feeling well since last Saturday, down sick with headache, body aching, vomitting, purging, red-flag, nausea etc.. And I'm at the office alone since all is on business trip. And I'll be having my Mandarin exam this Friday!!! Urghh!... So, what happened during the Raya week? Here goes...

I woke up quite early, had to send my hubby to commuter station in Section 19, Shah Alam. Yeah.. he still working. Then rushed to TTDI Jaya to service my car, hoping that I would be the 1st or at least 2nd in the row but whoa!! there were like 6 cars ahead me. And I need to drop by to my office by 10am to help my boss with his month-end report. So, I called my brother, Nizam hoping he'd be available but sadly. I asked the mechanic to call a cab for me to Kelana Jaya (that's where my office is). It was drizzling (and I was with my kids), waited for the cab almost 15 minutes. Luckily no traffic but the cab charged me RM20 for merely less than 20 minutes ride from TTDI Jaya to Kelana Jaya. (and there was not meter reading as well). As soon as I arrived the office, I grabbed the report, type.. type.. enter.. enter.. and so on. While I was busy preparing the report, my boss was busy entertaining my kids in the conference room, showing them pictures of helicopters. Yeah, my boss wants my kids to be a pilot.. just like him, a helicopter pilot with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). By 1130am, I was done with the report and my boss drove me to the car service center. Ohh not to forget here, he gave my kids and me a duit raya (he's a chinese.. !). Yeah.. He's a great boss.

My hubby still working. After I sent him to communter station, I went to Sri Muda with my dad and my kids to do alignment on my car tyres. We decided to cook rendang for my brother in Kulim. So, we went to Tesco, grabbed all the things needed and went home. Yup, this year we celebrated our Hari Raya in Kulim with my brother, Naza and his family. Well, our Raya has never been the same ever since our Mom passed away in Jan 2001 (Al-Fatihah.. May Allah bless my Mom. My prayers are always with you and may you rest peace in heaven..) Ever since, it has been a quiet Raya for all of us but life must go on. Never take life for granted. Though my life has been ups and downs, I still precious every moment with those around me.

We started our journey to Kulim after Sahur at 0500am (My dad's idea). It was a quiet, chilling journey. We enjoyed the scenery since we took the old route rather than the PLUS highway. (Again, my dad's brilliant idea) Finally, we reached Kulim nearly 1pm.

1st Day of Hari Raya. As usual, after the men came back from the mosque for Raya prayer, whole family begins with "bersalaman mohon ampun maaf" (embrace each other asking for forgiveness) and followed by family photography session (I'll post the photos later). After enjoying our morning Raya with lemang, ketupat palas (a triangular parcels contain glutinious rice wrapped in palm leaves fronds called daun palas and it is a Northern Malaysian -Penang, Kedah, Perlis- specialty) and rendangs, we went to visit few relatives and close friends in Parit Buntar and Taiping.
2nd Day of Hari Raya. Not much today. We visited one relative before heading
to Penang taking the Ferry so that the kids could enjoy it. My brother had to go back to work (he works off-shore in Kerteh, Trengganu) so he showed us around Penang before taking his bus back to Kerteh. At 4pm, my dad drove to Alor Star alone. He wanted to visit his relatives there. My family headed back to Shah Alam at 8pm, reached Shah Alam at 130am. What a journey...

Met our grandmother (my mum's side). We had Soto and Laksa Johor (my favourite). Before going home, we went to Berjaya Time Square and there was that time I started feeling sick. When home, straight to bed.. ZZZzzzzzzz......
