GUESS ? Anyone...

Good news for those who craze for GUESS? items. They're having a clearance sale from 30 Nov - 2 Dec at their HQs office at Menara PanGlobal. I might see ya there too!....

Sometimes what we've planned didnt turn out to be what we want. That's what happen to my weekend activities.

Sunday
I went to Tesco Shah Alam in the morning after sending my hubby at commuter station. I brought my what-to-buy listing but ended up buying things not from the list. Had lunch with the kids at Chicken Rice Shop before going home.

I've also planned for Harry Porter movie with my kids but turn out that I was stucked doing house cleaning (the continuous from Saturday). Since I was doing it all alone, it took me 2 whole day to finish it up. Ya know, when you're tired, you rest for awhile, then continue, then rest... Gosh!! It was reallyyyy tiring and I was feeling extremely exhausted by end of the day. As for the kids, I let them play games the whole day...

At 9pm, went to Neighbours' Raya gathering. There were lotsa delicious home-made food, lotsa games for the kids and families, lotsa goodies and lotsa lucky draws and also karaoke entertainment. Adli entered this put-pingpong-balls-in-the-sock game and won 1st prize. I entered a puzzle game with my dad, Adam and Nizam (my brother). Well, we didnt win but we had a good time. Our house number was not so lucky that night coz we didnt get any lucky draw prizes unlike last year. Despite my tiredness, I enjoyed the night very much.

Saturday

After breakfast, I started my morning with house cleaning (list No. 5). I stopped at 4.30pm as my body couldnt take the sweat anymore. After freshen myself up, I took my kids for tea time at Dawood in sect 6. I had tosai, Adam had capati and Adli had roti canai. At 8.30pm, my dad, my kids and me went for Raya open hall (hall?... Well, it was held at Dewan Belia sect 7) hosted by UMNO Bahagian Shah Alam. Whoa.. there was so many people and no seats for us so we had to stand up for almost an hour. There was a Selangor football group players, which drew the football fans to come and meet them. The night was entertained by Khai (AF1) and Ezlynn (hmm.. tak minat). Right after we had our food, we left the hall.

Well, there goes my weekend. And I could feel muscle cramp already. Ouch...ouch...

Weekend activities..

Today, I had lunch with Zura at Ikea. She had this chicken meal (I cant remember what is it called) and I had a nice spaghetty (My favourite). Thanks so much for the lunch Zura. I owe u one.

This weekend is gonna be a little bz weekend for me. My brother from Kulim is coming. 2 Raya open houses to be attended on Saturday and 1 on Sunday night. The Sunday occasion is my neighbourhood Raya open house to be held at the canteen of Sek. Keb. Sect. 6, Shah Alam. It's a gud way to gather the neighbours of Jalan 6/5A, B & C - to get to know each other better.

And I'm planning to take my kids for a movie - Harry Porter, this Sunday. So, need to do some browsing for the showtimes at TGV.

Till then.. Have a gud weekend..

Another day....

Yesterday, my office was full with people. This people denotes the employees of the company I work for nearly 12 years. There's only 5 of us including a tenant who is a consultant to one of the biggest helicopter manufacturer in the world. Why I say yesterday was full house? Coz most of the time, I'll be having the office all by myself. Where'd they go? They enjoying their life travelling - alot. Well, business trip to be exact.

Having to work here for 12 years, I dont really much care on how others wud presume that I'm living in a "comfort zone" coz that's true and I am happy with it. I have a really considerate boss, no work stress, no office gossips, no back-stabbing, no conflict whatsoever (I'm the only woman here so there's nothing much they can argue about.. hehe) etc...

Today, I'm back alone in the office figuring what I should do next after having all my task done. I called my friend Feeda, who is 38 weeks pregnant waiting for the moment. This is her 3rd child. Wishing her a safe and smooth delivery..

Well, time to sign off... have a good week..

What I missed...

Today, I'm more relax than the last whole week as it was like a fast forward week for me. Everything need to be done swiftly. Why? Coz I just cant get hold enough with my readings for the exams. Now I realised how much I've missed doing things for myself and my family.

I keep having this list of things in my mind that really need my attention.

1. Get my body massage. Stress is the number 1 problem I suffered ever since the exams started. (My good friend, Shareen suggested the one in Maju Junction, KL - RM60 for 2 hours. Extremely long time at a very reasonable rate. In KL? Hmm.. I need to think twice before going there!)

2. Take the kids out for movies, shopping and a blast at Sunway Lagoon. (To make sure they have a good school holiday and a good story to tell their friends)

3. Shop for a new mobile phone. I have been postponing as Nokia seems to produce new models every month. Ha.. ha.. ha.. What an excuse! Anyway, this will definitely happen next month. Hopefully..

4. Shop for a new Jeans as I've been wearing this particular one for nearly 1 year. Am I that bz? And new things for my wardrobe too...

5. House cleaning as it has been neglected for almost 3 three weeks since Raya.

6. Get new things for the house from IKEA. I spotted new paraphernalia in their new catalogue.

7. Take my family and my dad out for a nice sumptuous meal. Any recommendation? Probably I'll check out the new food discoveries in Masak-masak.

8. Get list of vitamins recommended by Zura, as listed at No. 15 in her "Wish-full Thinking"

Well, 8 is my favourite number so I guess I stop here for now... Time for me to light and easy... Relax and unwind everyone.

And I'll be having my Mandarin exam this Friday!!! Urghh!... So, what happened during the Raya week? Here goes...

31 Oct 2005
I woke up quite early, had to send my hubby to commuter station in Section 19, Shah Alam. Yeah.. he still working. Then rushed to TTDI Jaya to service my car, hoping that I would be the 1st or at least 2nd in the row but whoa!! there were like 6 cars ahead me. And I need to drop by to my office by 10am to help my boss with his month-end report. So, I called my brother, Nizam hoping he'd be available but sadly. I asked the mechanic to call a cab for me to Kelana Jaya (that's where my office is). It was drizzling (and I was with my kids), waited for the cab almost 15 minutes. Luckily no traffic but the cab charged me RM20 for merely less than 20 minutes ride from TTDI Jaya to Kelana Jaya. (and there was not meter reading as well). As soon as I arrived the office, I grabbed the report, type.. type.. enter.. enter.. and so on. While I was busy preparing the report, my boss was busy entertaining my kids in the conference room, showing them pictures of helicopters. Yeah, my boss wants my kids to be a pilot.. just like him, a helicopter pilot with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). By 1130am, I was done with the report and my boss drove me to the car service center. Ohh not to forget here, he gave my kids and me a duit raya (he's a chinese.. !). Yeah.. He's a great boss.

1 Nov 2005
My hubby still working. After I sent him to communter station, I went to Sri Muda with my dad and my kids to do alignment on my car tyres. We decided to cook rendang for my brother in Kulim. So, we went to Tesco, grabbed all the things needed and went home. Yup, this year we celebrated our Hari Raya in Kulim with my brother, Naza and his family. Well, our Raya has never been the same ever since our Mom passed away in Jan 2001 (Al-Fatihah.. May Allah bless my Mom. My prayers are always with you and may you rest peace in heaven..) Ever since, it has been a quiet Raya for all of us but life must go on. Never take life for granted. Though my life has been ups and downs, I still precious every moment with those around me.

2 Nov 2005
We started our journey to Kulim after Sahur at 0500am (My dad's idea). It was a quiet, chilling journey. We enjoyed the scenery since we took the old route rather than the PLUS highway. (Again, my dad's brilliant idea) Finally, we reached Kulim nearly 1pm.

3 Nov 2005
1st Day of Hari Raya. As usual, after the men came back from the mosque for Raya prayer, whole family begins with "bersalaman mohon ampun maaf" (embrace each other asking for forgiveness) and followed by family photography session (I'll post the photos later). After enjoying our morning Raya with lemang, ketupat palas (a triangular parcels contain glutinious rice wrapped in palm leaves fronds called daun palas and it is a Northern Malaysian -Penang, Kedah, Perlis- specialty) and rendangs, we went to visit few relatives and close friends in Parit Buntar and Taiping.

4 Nov 2005
2nd Day of Hari Raya. Not much today. We visited one relative before heading to Penang taking the Ferry so that the kids could enjoy it. My brother had to go back to work (he works off-shore in Kerteh, Trengganu) so he showed us around Penang before taking his bus back to Kerteh. At 4pm, my dad drove to Alor Star alone. He wanted to visit his relatives there. My family headed back to Shah Alam at 8pm, reached Shah Alam at 130am. What a journey...

5 Nov 2005
3rd Day of Hari Raya. Went to my Aunty Idah's house at Ampang. Met our grandmother (my mum's side). We had Soto and Laksa Johor (my favourite). Before going home, we went to Berjaya Time Square and there was that time I started feeling sick. When home, straight to bed.. ZZZzzzzzzz......
