Unforgettable Night

We were about 50 meters away from the scene of the robbery at Subang Parade last Saturday night. Armed robbery at Poh Kong Subang Parade left us with trauma. It was most terrifying night for my sister, her daughters, my sons and me, and probably will take us a week or so to get over it.

It was around 8pm after having our dinner, we went into Blook, which is next to Poh Kong. 5 mins later, we walked out browsing towards to The Coffee Bean indoor sitting area. Around 8.20pm, we heard a sound of firecrackers behind us. I turned, wanting to see where it came from. As the sound continues, I saw people running at the same time. Then I realized it was no firecrackers.. it was gun shooting. People were shouting “Get into the shop!!! get into the shop!!!” I grabbed my kids and told my sister to run. We ran into Giordano’s and the staff quickly pulled down the grill. From the small holes of the grill, I can see people were running and I can hear the continuous shooting outside which lasted about 5 mins. Hubby was at the upper level. I managed to talk to him on our mobile for less than a minute before the line went dead. I tried calling him back but failed. Probably everyone in the building was trying to make contact at the same time and the network got congested. 10 mins later, we saw people walked out from the shops so we went up to the MPH level. People was crowding the area. As I was walking towards Coca Restaurant, I saw a body lying motionless in front of Poh Kong. I prayed hoping no one dies. Then I saw hubby coming towards me. My sister made her way to the basement. She was in trauma and wanted to leave the shopping mall immediately. People were all making their exit at the same time, which saw bad traffic in the basement.

Soon we arrived home, the kids were too scared to go to sleep. So I stayed with them till they fast asleep. Hubby and I couldnt sleep. I could still hear the sound of shootings.

Next day, I saw news of it on papers and TV. 4 men were shot – 2 of them died were the security and the other one was the robber. Another security survived. More news..

Syukur.....

Class of 2007

Class of 2007 started with 3 interesting subjects.

The good part is:
I need to attend 2 classes only as the other one is on research writing.

The interesting part is:
As part of the class project, we were assigned to organize an Open Day for InED, which will be held on 3rd week of March 2007. So we only have less than 2 months to get things rolling...

The biggest fear is:
I was appointed as a Project Leader for the event and now I'm having sleepless night, thinking about this whole project.

I need a BIG mug of coffee... Coffee please!!!

Appreciation Dinner at Saujana KL

Corporate clients with Saujana KL were invited to Appreciation Dinner last Friday (19 Jan) and Arabian Night was the theme for the night. Since most of the invitees came right from their offices, I pretty much had expected they will come in their office attire. Only few came in Arabian costumes. The organizers were all seen in their costumes, from Jeannie in the bottle (from S sizes to L sizes.. if you know what I mean..) to Sinbad and Prince of Arab. And they looked absolutely stunning. (and I forgot to take their photos.. unbelieveable!)

We were served with, not only the varieties of delightful taste of food and desserts but also performance from the belly dancers. I tell you, the erotic movements of their belly and hips made our eyes become wider and blinking either quicker than usual or not blinking at all.... hahaha.... Check this out!!! What an enjoyable night!!!
